Healing up at the Hospital is nice, but what if you’re in the middle of nowhere and you want to heal up your party? Not many options except to swap out characters and put some people inactive so they can recover. The answer to this problem has been suggested by multiple people I think – usually in the form of “potions” or something similar. I just wanted to mention that I have considered the problem, and I will implement something soon that will allow you to heal up characters on the road. My original thought was some kind of portable med-kit that has the same type of healing that you’d get from the hospital, except it would be more expensive (being that you can use it anywhere) and each kit would have a limited number of uses. This kit would only be able to be used outside of battle. I like this idea, and I will most likely try to bring this into the game soon.

Now, the other part of this (I’m surprised hasn’t come up) is being allowed to heal during battle. I’ve really been trying to avoid it, because as I’ve said before, Defense is your buffer zone, and there are Actions that will help restore or regenerate Defense points (and it also regens naturally at 10 points per turn). I’ve avoided “healing potions” for the same reason many MMORPGs avoid them – most of us remember games like Diablo and how the sole strategy ends up being stock up on potions.

So the med-kit will most likely come in, but potions, probably not (unless someone can convince me otherwise).

Potions don’t need to be allowed during battle. The med-kit idea is actually quite good, but you could later consider adding potions as a supplement to the med-kits (without letting them be used in battle). One would be more expensive than the other, but the less expensive would obviously do less repair.

I think there should be a possibility to increase your health from said 80% to a hundred with help of something that makes you feel comfortable like a drink/lunch or whatever makes sense to you. You can buy/stack up that stuff at a tavern and consume it outside of battles.

Bron’s two cents:
First Cent: First Aid Kit +20 health, Medkit +50 health, Field Surgeon’s Kit + 70 health
Second Cent: Pharmacy?
Penny for your thought?

First: There are already multiple sizes of medkits, but at this time medkits only drop after winning a battle, and they have a much higher chance of dropping if you are fighting NPCs that are at your level or above.

Second: good point – maybe the hospital should sell some medkits…
