I just bought a storage container, and I can’t find it anywhere. How long before I can use it, and what screen do I find it in? Is it a building in Hopitan, or an inventory item, or what? If anybody knows, please enlighten me!

It’s an immobile NPC, much like a Vendor that has been put onto the market to sell stuff.
It is located at the warehouse district (where you bought it).
You can see it on the Party management screen. You can only access it when your party is in the same location as the container. (that is: in the warehouse district of Hopitan)
To access it, use the “Inventory” button of the storage unit on the party management screen.

In the next update, are we going to have it upgradable once bought?

Yes.

Can we make it so the contents are viewable even if we’re not there? Sort of like an inventory list, so we can know whether or not to keep some of the new loot?

I’d support that suggestion, if it is doable. You’d likely have some sort of equipment/inventory list on yourself, and this just frees us from the need to create and update such a list in an external program.

Good point. Ok, there will be a “view only” mode for storage spaces when you’re on the road.
edit: this was added in the last update
