UPDATE: The non-player vendors went in at the end of August.
We’ve had a lot of requests for non-player vendors or stores; basically a place where players can unload junk items without actually trashing them, but instead getting a handful of gold for them. I’m going to put these in soon (unless someone can think of a compelling reason not to). It will work like this: everyone who’s used the market to sell items knows there is a minimum price you can place on an item (using a formula based on the item’s quality). The non-player vendors will buy any item for one half the minimum market price (but no less than 1 gold). This works out to be about 1 gold average for much of the newbie gear, gradually increasing as the quality increases. While it’s not much, I get the feeling that early on, players will appreciate getting something for their equipment rather than being forced to throw extra equipment away because they have no room for it.
As far as these non-player vendors selling items, I think it only makes sense that they would sell something. However, I’d like to encourage more player-market participation, so expect the vendor-sold items to be overpriced (not to the point of absurdity, just not a very good deal).
Probably not much to discuss on this particular issue; I think everyone would appreciate this feature going into the game fairly soon. If you have a comment, please feel free. :)

Awesome one Ranger, I have nothing against seeing outrageous prices on in-game items, I sure do see alot of outrageous prices in the marketplace as it is, but still… This is a wonderfull thing to do, and I hope to see it soon.
