It would be nice if you could see what Effects were on a character/monster when you click on them and the Action mini popup comes up. I know you can click on their link in the Turn Order screen, but it would be faster if it was on the Action popup. I know not everyone might like that, so maybe make it an option?

Also, having an End Turn button on the Turn Order screen might be nice – my battles occur almost entirely on the Turn Order screen (which I use as more of a “summary” screen. Oh, that might be a good place to put the Effects? That way you could see the Effects on everyone at the same time? Seeing the Effects changes my tactics a lot – like if they have fire based protection on, I’ll hit them with RNGed instead of MELee so my guys don’t take damage when they attack.

Not sure which would be easier to put in programmatically, but it would be a nice “feature” :)

I think the Turn Order tab is essential too. Frankly, I’m sick of the tabs – they worked for a while because I had a hard time fitting everything on the screen, but I’m getting rid of them. Here’s a sneak preview of the redesign in progress.

To answer your request – I think I will add a small details box that appears as you mouse over each PC/NPC in the Turn Order list. Maybe that box will appear if you target someone as well. I’ll play around with a few ideas…

The new interface looks cool. I think a mouse-over would work fine, or just adding it to the current mouseover…maybe just a less chatty version? i.e. Heavy boots says “so and so’s legs strain against unnatural gravity(xx)” which I guess is good for roleplaying purposes, but c’mon – this is a tactical game ;) How about “Heavy boots (57)”? Also, it would be cool if you could add how long the effect will last =) I find myself trying to remember if I cast Heavy Boots 2 rounds ago or 3? Then I get charged and pummelled – I guess it was 3…lol

One thing I would like to see is being able to organize the actions list. I mean there are some actions I use more often then others and it would be nice to have the easier to get to…. On the other hand it may be just as easy with the new interface.

Mouseover short-info with only Action name (strength)?
Sounds good, but keep the long/descriptive texts for the effect/status window (that’s now on the current turn tab). I’d like it – that is the whole mouseover/popup thing – to be optional, though, I barely use mouseovers, anyways, I tend to use the current turn tab for info on effects and status of my target/s – and with turn order, current turn and chat visible at the same time, I’m happy.

The idea on turns left displayed for tickers sounds good, though, I like it.

Letting you order the whole list might be a bit much, but I was thinking about letting people set two “default” actions – one for friendly targets and one for non-friendly. So if you have a PC that uses double-blade attack like 90% of the time, you could make that his default hostile action and then you could just double-click on an enemy to trigger the attack. If you decide to do something else, you could still single-click to target someone and then choose an action as normal.

Two things – one easy I think and the other for the “new” interface.

One, could you please add how many MP you have left to the action popup? You currently have AP in there, but I do a lot of dart in/dart out tactics and it would be nice to have on there :)

Second, when you do the new interface, I noticed you’ll have some “preview” ability of movement. Could you have a mouse-over action for the bad guys that shows you their longest range attack and what that could hit if they didn’t move? I guess that’s a particular request to my tactic (a lot of “rooting”) but it helps us from breaking out the calculator to figure out the geometry of it :) Or maybe some variance of this request – like an option in your profile of “show range only” or “show range plus max movement”?

Of course I know you have your own stuff that you’re working on, but this is a Suggestion Forum – I don’t expect everything to be implemented and/or implemented quickly – unless you think it’s a great idea and easy to do like #1? LOL
