So I recently finished a mission and my inventory is filled with items I’d like to sell, but when I go to the market screen I see at the bottom “You have no available support characters to assign to vendor duty.” I checked the wiki, but it simply tells me I can use support characters to sell, not where to hire them. So how do you hire a support character?

You’ll find them in the Hopitan Employment Office (from the Square, go Southeast to East Hopitan, then South).

You can also sell your “less valuable” stuff at the link in the East Hopitan area (sorry, can’t remember the name of it and I’m in the Volum forest). It’s where you buy the HTC stuff (don’t buy it – overpriced). Keep in mind, anything you try to sell in the market with a support character, you’ll have to wait for a real person to buy. Good for better stuff, not so good for the stuff you find early in the game…plus the support character is 150gp, pricey when you’re just starting.

Just got back in Hopitan – it’s the Hopitan Tourism Committee in the East Hopitan district. It’s where you start the game – the Hopitan Guard House is there too. When you click the link to enter you’ll see the “Hopitan Tourism Committee” title for the area and then right below it this:

You are in a non-player shop. [sell items to this shop]

Just click the “sell items to this shop” link – seeing this is a weapons and armor shop it will have “slots” available to sell to.

NOTE!!!! You don’t get much for the items (1gp for most of the items you in the two arenas), but it adds up eventually and helps you avoid the party item limit.
