There should be a “party inventory” rather than having to carry everything around on your characters.

I agree on this. This will save a lot of time when moving items around when switching characters and we will have more spaces for more items.

An interesting thought, definitely. I’m trying to think of a way it could work and not require too many changes. The biggest problem is that the vendor system relies heavily on the fact that individual characters have their own inventories. A minor problem would be changing the Character Equip screen to show a much larger list of equipment to drag and drop from, and it might get a little cluttered.

One of the features I’m working on in development is the possibility of “Storage” objects. These objects will come in the forms of things like a cart or wagon (so you’ll have it with you where ever you go and you can use it to store items in) or a storeroom in town, where you’ll have the ability to store much larger amounts, but they will only be accessible in that town. These storage items will come in many sizes and cost a chunk of gold. I think they will be helpful for sorting items and avoiding the character-switching annoyances.

the cart or store-room system would work, or you could do it like this:

each character gets x inventory spaces for themselves each account/party has an additional y spaces per character, where items are owned (carried, whatever) collectively.

just a random thought.

i like the idea of a storeroom in town. maybe a few different sizes like sheds, garages, and something larger. each holding different amount and costing more the more they hold. i dont like having to keep track of who has what. sometimes i try to organize it only to find what i just put in one guys inventory to save i just moved again into another guys inventory. id buy a shed :)

I, too, like this idea. And yeah, I’m bumping this forum topic out of personal interest. I know that it is already being worked on, but I thought it wouldn’t hurt to show that there is still interest in the addition of localized (in-city) storeroom (shed…) as well as some sort of transportable storage room (cart…).

I also want to kindly ask: Is there an ETA on these features?
Because, like daerk420, I’d buy a shed. Or something larger, if available for the gold I have. Even if I’m broke afterwards.

So… long story short: I’m bumping this thread. Not to wiggle with a finger or show the reemergence of a problem, but to state that it is still a topic of interest.
Hope noone feels offended. If so, sorry.

Bump away! It’s good to hear that there is more interest in this feature.

As far as development goes, progress in the game has stalled slightly in the last two months because I’m working full time, I’m taking college classes online, and I’m working on a couple of other side projects. However, things are wrapping up this week and by the weekend, I’m ready to dive back into Aethora.

So look for an announcement sometime this weekend about the status of different features and on what kind of time-line you can expect them to come out. I’ll be looking for feedback if anyone has an opinion on which features should get higher priority.
