what is spam?

P.S. im 12 years old and have heard of it but have no idea what it is

SPAM has different meanings:
In Short, it’s most commonly used when talking about eMail, where it’s usually masses of (advertising) emails that are sent repeatedly to users who don’t want them, flooding their email-inboxes.
In Forums and Chats, it is both, the repeated posting of messages that make no sense, or of the same post multiple times.

Of course, there is always wikipedia to look it up. And yes, that link will directly send you to “SPAM”.
